Steam Boiler Project for Dairy Food Production
Project Overview
This project is a large-scale ice cream factory in Iraq, mainly engaged in the production of ice cream and other frozen dairy products. Its production process requires a large amount of high-temperature and high-pressure process heat. The original coal-fired boiler had problems such as high emissions and high operation costs. The factory chose to replace it with an oil-fired steam boiler system customized by our company, which was officially put into full operation in 2024.
Equipment Selection
An oil-fired steam boiler with a thermal power of 30MWth was adopted, the first of its kind in the factory. It can efficiently burn various fuels such as heavy oil, light oil and diesel, which are easy to obtain and store locally in Iraq, providing flexible and reliable fuel options for the factory. Equipped with a highly automated control system, it reduces operational requirements and improves maintainability compared with the original coal-fired system.
The project selected one oil-fired steam boiler with a thermal power of 30MWth, the first oil-fired steam boiler of this specification in the factory. It can efficiently burn a variety of fuels including heavy oil, light oil and diesel, which are readily available in the local market of Iraq. This provides flexible and stable fuel choices for the factory. Equipped with a highly automated control system, it reduces operational requirements and improves maintenance performance compared with the original coal-fired system.
Project Effect
After the project was put into operation, the oil-fired steam boiler can stably provide high-temperature and high-pressure steam that meets the production needs of the ice cream factory, ensuring the stability of the sterilization and product processing links. Compared with the original coal-fired boiler, the oil-fired boiler has more stable combustion and higher thermal efficiency, with the thermal efficiency as high as 92%. The annual operation cost of the factory is reduced by 25%, and the emission of pollutants such as sulfur dioxide and particulate matter is significantly reduced, fully meeting the local environmental protection emission standards in Iraq, realizing the dual goals of energy saving, emission reduction and cost reduction.
